Varicose veins in the legs
Varicose veins in the legs look like bluish, lumpy bumps on the legs.
Most often, varicose veins in the legs are due to an increase in the pressure in the blood vessels of the legs, which causes the blood vessels to dilate and become more visible.
It is not certain that you will have problems if you get varicose veins.
But sometimes you may need treatment to avoid symptoms such as swollen legs, eczema or leg ulcers. Every third adult has varicose veins in some form.
Varicose veins rarely disappear on their own, with the exception of certain varicose veins in connection with pregnancy.
